HU-MS2 Featured on The Today Show
In 2017, our school adopted the Summit Learning curriculum. A critical part of the platform is mentoring. Each student in our school has a mentor whose responsibility is check-ins, goal setting, and monitoring the overall health and well-being of their mentee. Each week, we have a day that is devoted to mentoring where mentors have meetings and lunch with their mentees creating a bond that extends beyond the classroom. We have seen our young people grow and flourish because they know that there are adults in our school who truly care about them. The NBC4 Today Show visited our school to learn more about the program. This video highlights that visit.
